MSDS Partners LLC was founded by Dr. Douglas R. Chrisope. Doug is an industrial chemist with years of experience in manufacturing as well as industrial research and development. He has been a successful consultant in organic and industrial chemistry for several years and has now acknowledged the success of the MSDS-writing portion of his business by incorporating around this activity.
Doug received his B.S. in Chemistry from Georgia State University in Atlanta and earned his Ph.D. in organic chemistry at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He also served as a post-doctoral research fellow in organic laser photochemistry.
After his post-doc, Doug was a Senior Research Chemist at Ethyl Petroleum Additives in St Louis, MO for two years, authoring or co-authoring a book chapter, two journal articles and three patents. Doug then served as a Senior Research Specialist at Monsanto for 11 years optimizing processes for the manufacture of Roundup® herbicide.
Through all of his academic training, post-doctoral work and industrial experience, Doug has personally dealt with a large number of materials. These include solids, liquids and gases, both aqueous and oil-soluble substances as well as radioactive materials. He has also had significant safety training regarding materials, fires, first aid and radiation safety. Doug has also had extensive training in searching the chemical literature by search specialists at Chemical Abstracts Service.
Doug maintains certifications in 49 CFR, the basic regulations for domestic ground transportation of hazardous materials, regulated by the U.S. Department of Transportation, as well as air transport regulations according to the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and vessel transport by the International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code.
Doug is a member of the American Chemical Society, the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, the Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers and the American Society for Quality.
